Personal Brand Website
Assignment Purpose

This project serves as a personal portfolio, showcasing my personal, academic, and professional journeys. The goal is to professionally present my skills, experience, and achievements, while offering a clear introduction for those who have little or no prior knowledge of who Breda Brennan is. The creation of this website tested my time management and technical skills and encouraged me to reflect on my accomplishments while clarifying my future aspirations.

Education

My education has provided me with invaluable opportunities. This section traces my academic journey, which has led me to my current pursuit as a student of the MSc in Project Management at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Work Experience

My previous work experience spans a variety of sectors, exposing me to both corporate and community-focused environments. Through these roles, I have been able to identify what I enjoy and value in a future career.

This section highlights how these experiences have shaped my work ethic and the skills I bring into future working environments.

Hobbies

"If it were easy everyone would do it"
- Bob Parson

Hobbies are vital to maintaining a balanced lifestyle, offering both creativity and relaxation. They help reduce stress, boost mental health, and strengthen social connections. Prioritising hobbies enhances overall well-being and increases productivity, leaving us feeling more fulfilled.

Volunteering

Voluntary work is an important part of my life and reflects my core values. Making time to give back to the community, in one way or another, provides me with a strong sense of purpose and accomplishment. Prioritising volunteering serves as a constant reminder that even the smallest actions can have a profoundly positive impact on someone else’s life.

Skills

This section showcases the key skills that I possess and bring to a professional working environment.

Through many years of balancing tennis, study, and work experience, I have developed strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, organisational, time management, and leadership skills that I carry into the workplace.

Interpersonal

I enjoy forming genuine connections with people. I am a people person, so I can adapt my communication style according to the personality type and situations. Meaning I gain trust quickly and am a person people are comfortable coming to for advice.

Teamwork

Years of playing team sports and working on group projects have taught me how to collaborate, listen and put team objectives before personal interests. I am a natural leader and strive to create strong psychological safety in any team I’m a part of.

Communication

I am a strong communicator who values clear and respectful methods of communication. I enjoy presenting my work in informative and engaging ways. I also believe listening is a key aspect of communication - taking time to understand everyone’s perspectives. Efficient communication is strongly correlated to project success and smooth team operations.

Organisation

Organisation and planning are key to success for me. I rely on to-do lists and clear task prioritisation, enabling me to be the most productive version of myself. In a team, organisation means agreeing on roles and responsibilities early in the process so everyone knows what they are accountable for, avoiding misunderstandings.

Time Management

Time management is one of my most valued skills. During college, I balanced a 20-hour training week in conjunction with a 18-hour academic schedule. This taught me how to plan ahead and use my time efficiently. I pride myself on my punctuality and reliability for completing projects on schedule.

Leadership

I acquire a collaborative leadership style. As a leader, I focus on creating a cohesive team environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing ideas. I do this by ensuring all team members feel heard and valued in their contributions. I don’t want team members to feel I’m “in charge”; instead, I see myself as a coach who offers guidance and encouragement toward our common goal.

Future Endeavours

My future endeavours are shaped by the career and life I aspire to build. Setting short-, medium-, and long-term goals keeps me motivated and gives me a clear sense of direction.

These pages outline the major milestones I hope to achieve in the coming years and beyond.
